Why President Obama is MY President

It’s NOT about what party you are… it’s about working together!

Weekly Thoughts

I haven’t written one of these for awhile. I’ve been very busy with life lately. I have been neglecting all the blogs I contribute to unfortunately. Most of my free time lately has been spent learning and growing in my new business. I’ve signed on to work with WorldVentures, a travel club like no other. We employ the bulk buying method used by Sam’s Club and Costco to vacations; giving members the ability to go on 4-5 star vacations at 2-3 star prices. I’m very excited about this new adventure as it has the potential to make me a lot of money. I’ve got a great team that I’m working with that will help me stay focused which is much needed.

I’ve been doing much better at work lately as well! Which is very refreshing. I am enjoying the new direction my position is heading at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and I am dedicated now more than ever to continue to grow there. I am looking forward to volunteering at the STORY Chicago conference September 15-16th! I’ve been an attender for the past two years and I’m excited at the opportunity to participate in the behind-the-scenes aspect of it this year. STORY is marketed as a conference for creatives and is dedicated to helping people find and tell the story behind their passion.

I’m taking a bit of a different approach to my weekly thoughts this week. I usually post a bullet point list of thoughts and experiences I’ve had throughout the week. But this week is different. I have now been home from Slovakia for 6 days and in that time I have helped my mom and step-dad move out of the house they built in 1999, adjusted my sleep schedule back to Central Standard Time, cleared out my email inbox, had a date night with Allyson, started a new project and caught up with friends. It’s been a busy week!

Yesterday I picked up the rest of the Slovakia builder’s trip crew from the airport in Chicago. It was good to connect with them again and hear all the exciting things they got to do after I left last Sunday. I am very excited about going back to Slovakia and am thinking about taking Allyson with me in 2013. That will be the 20th anniversary of the sister city partnership between Naperville and Nitra. Mayor of Nitra Jozef DvonĨ has invited us all back in 2013 for a big celebration he is putting together. My thought is that we will join in the celebration in Nitra and then drive up to Martin to visit our friends at the Center for Christian Education. After that I would like to try and catch a cheap flight to London or Paris and do some tourist things up there as I have never been to either England or France. I am accepting donations to fund this trip ;)

What was the most exciting thing you did this week?
